Story
From Texas with American Love Our Louisiana Heritage
El Puerto Escondido is a family-owned Mexican seafood restaurant specializing in authentic mariscos, fresh seafood cocktails, and traditional Mexican flavors. Founded over 33 years ago, the first El Puerto Escondido location opened at 915 W Arbor Vitae Street in Inglewood by the owner and his brother. The restaurant quickly became a local favorite, known for generous portions and fresh seafood.
As demand grew, the owner expanded El Puerto Escondido to multiple locations across Inglewood, Hawthorne, and San Bernardino. Each location was opened with the support of long-time employees who helped train new teams, ensuring consistency in food quality and service. Today, the business remains family-operated, with the owner’s son actively involved as Owner, Son, and Manager, helping oversee daily operations, growth, and brand development.
For more than 15–20 years, El Puerto Escondido has hosted karaoke nights, live impersonator performances, comedy shows, and special events. The restaurant has also catered weddings, quinceañeras, and private events. El Puerto Escondido continues to serve as a community gathering place built on tradition, family values, and loyal customers.
